Children with disabilities are still considered as taboo in parts of our community, they are considered as unlucky, curse which put them at the bottom of group to be cared for in all aspects of life and to be taken to school and learning centers.

Children with disability are more exposed to abuse, exclusion, and discrimination than others. Issues of disability is still taboo in our community much connected with their tradition, culture, norms, faith which see disability as a curse and abomination which lead to the child being hidden at home and not have any interaction which anyone and even lead to the rest of the family expelled for the community.

More than half of all children and teens do not meet minimum proficiency standards in reading and mathematics. Quality education provides an opportunity to learn and grow in a safe environment and is key to preventing poverty, securing long term employment, and improving quality of life
